Ever wonder if you're the only one struggling with those intrusive thoughts? The nonstop go of everything that demands your time and attention, leaving you feeling physically and emotionally drained with nothing left to give to anyone else, let alone yourself for self care?

Mental health is real. It needs to be talked about more, instead of passing it off and dealing with it in the shadows alone, leaving many so lost and hurt and confused and angry. Sadness, grief whether that be physical due to changes in dealing with chronic pain, or whether that be dealing with the loss of loved one., financial hardships, relationship issues, employment difficulties, housing difficulties, life in general. and the list could go on.

IT IS REAL!!

Everyday people that you've never met, deal with things that to another person could be unimaginable. It takes nothing in this world to be kind, yet so many of us walk around spitting hate and violence and ignorance that the kindhearted humans that are rare to find get lost in the hidden darkness that consumes this world. Some show no signs or symptoms, others not wanting to discuss anything because they were brought up to suppress their emotions. It's taught very early on in young men as boys and even as infants and toddlers, when they fall, or when they are feeling anything emotionally that involves showing a weak side and expressing yourself with passion and fallen tears, to "stop crying", "to suck it up", "you're a boy, boys aren't supposed to be crybabies". or the worst one I've experienced is "I'll give you a reason to cry". It's engrained in them very early on, then resulting in hard men that are distant and shut off from being able to communicate their needs, wants, and desires without the fear of being judged or called out of their names, or not being man enough.

You see, this absolutely infuriates me!!

Why? Why must we make the young boys, and young men that become grown men to suppress their feelings? Told to be tough and strong all the time? Are they not human too? Do they not need a safe place to vent, to open up and let how they feel out without storing it allowing it to bottle up and eat away at themselves? Affecting not only them, but their families, friends, work relationships etc.
