For myself, and many other chronic pain warriors, being excluded from activities, or needing to test being unable to do much of anything due to pain is our reality. It's isolating, it's lonely, it's hard despite how others thing that being stuck in your own home all day being unable to work is fun. It's as if we are not only prisoners in our bodies but behind walls that confine us in our homes as well making us feel like we are imprisoned in the safety of our own homes, as if the walls are caving in on us most days.
So many things we once were able to do, now needing assistance, or having other to take over the tasks completely. it's absolutely draining and yet no one ever prepares you for the loneliness despite being in a room full of people who love you.
Have you ever just wanted someone to sit and listen to you? No judgements or criticizing you? Simply you just so desperately need to have the feeling of being actually seen and heard?
Let's discuss this topic, please remember to be respectful.
